Forest Hills, NY
2,540 SQ FT

With a pool in budget, we transformed the backyard by adding the pool, new plants, seating areas, and a privacy fence. The new fence was an essential addition that replaced a low, deteriorating barrier.

Two story house, 3 Bedroom

This property boasts solid structural bones, but the interior layout and finishes are trapped in a bygone decade. Heavily compartmentalized rooms restrict natural light and disrupt the spatial flow. It was mainly all on the first floor.

Solution

  • Demo all old and outdated items

  • Complete overhaul of first floor furniture and fixtures.

  • Reconfigure the existing floor plan and layout

Service

  • Get approval on new furniture and paint

  • Create a new space plan for approval

  • Create renderings on how it would look

New Entry door, freshly painted walls, wall paneling and a coat rack make this entry inviting.

Originally, the entry hall was overwhelmed with clutter, which even blocked a window and prevented natural light from brightening the space. The staircase lacked a proper railing, and a restrictive wall arch closed off the area. By clearing the layout, installing a new railing, and removing the archway, we transformed the entryway to create a beautifully open and welcoming view.

Again we have a space that wasn't currently being used much until we gave it some character and a place to sit, creating more of a dining room.. We created a custom shelving unit with storage lots of storage space.

We were able to get rid of a lot of the clutter which blocked entry to the stairs and added new wood flooring. Now it feels like a place to sit down and relax.
